Observation and Problems
Management wanted a colder environment in the freezers, due to the number of
door openings and the inability of the kitchen crew to keep the freezer doors
closed during shifts. As a result the required freezer temperature was not
being maintained.
Solution
The Mega Freeze® Large Commercial brackets were installed. The required
number of Mega Freeze® filter brackets was determined by cubic feet. It
required one twenty-pound filter for every one thousand cubic feet. Prior to
the installation, it was necessary to remove any existing ice build up on the
floors, walls and ceilings. After the installation, the kitchen staff was
instructed to make an effort to keep the freezer doors closed when not in use.
Results
Mr. Walter Caruccia, Chief Operations Officer, wrote and said, "Since we
installed your Mega Freeze® filters, I have had to move the thermostat
up twice and I am still below zero range for hard freezing. I find this
totally amazing in the kind of climate we have in South Louisiana. I have
instructed your distributor to install your products in all of our corporate
locations."
