Observation and Problems
After a complete inspection of the entire building, it was determined the Air
Conditioning was under sized. This is typical for a building built in the
early fifties. In addition, we noted that the administrative office windows
face the afternoon sun and the indoor air quality was poor with stale, musty,
smelly air. This is much like Sick Building Syndrome. Employees were also
complaining about the air quality.
Solution
Awesome Air® Filter brackets were installed into each of the existing air
returns with a minimum of one large twenty-pound Awesome Air® for every five
tons of Air Conditioning. The Awesome Air® Filter brackets placed behind
the dust filters, which required less maintenance of the Awesome Air®
filters.
Results
According to Mr. Hunter Wagner Jr., General Manager, "Since the Awesome
Air® installation, the Administrative offices are amazingly cool and
comfortable. In fact, the thermostats have also been moved to a higher
setting, saving energy as a bonus." Mr. Wagner also stated, "The indoor
air quality has been drastically improved upon. I would not hesitate to
recommend the Awesome Air® product to anyone who desires a cooler
environment and better indoor air quality."
